Welcome / Ministries / Music & Worship / Christmas on Kossuth Street / Christmas Cantata
The church family here at Kossuth Street Baptist Church would love for you to join us on Sunday morning, December 20th, at 10:15 AM, as we listen to the KSBC choir present the Christmas cantata
Agnus Dei: Lamb of God.
If you spend much time around Kossuth, you'll quickly find that we talk a lot about Jesus Christ. We talk about the fact that he is fully God and fully man, that he lived a perfect life, that he died a cruel death on a cross in our place, that in so doing he satisfied the just demands of a holy God, that he was raised to new life, and that he is now exalted above all things.
The reason we get so excited about Christ at Christmastime is because we're reminded that Christ came to this earth and did all those things because of God's great and staggering love. 1 John 4:9-10 says it clearly:
"This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins."
Sure, we want you to come enjoy some good music on Sunday morning - the choir sounds pretty great! Sure, we want you to be able to spend time with some really nice people. But most of all, we hope you'll come so that you can encounter the great love of God in his Son, Jesus Christ - the heartbeat of Christmas.
