Meals for Mitti
We've discussed in this newsletter the past several weeks that one of our priorities is caring for those within our class. But sometimes those within the larger body of KSBC face trials that take the larger body to care for them.
Could you provide a meal to Steve and Mitti Wilson while she is undergoing chemo?
If you don't know the Wilsons, bringing them a meal is a great way to introduce yourself. If you don't know Steve and Mitti, you might know their daughter, Beth, who is part of the Builders.
You can see what days are available for meals by visiting their Meal Train.
Housing for a Conference
There are some folks coming from out of town to attend the Faith Counseling Conference that could use some housing.
They need beds & showers only for February 12-17 for four people. They can bring air mattresses if needed. The group of 4 break down this way: pastor, 1 woman and 1 couple.

Michael Stoup his having surgery tomorrow (Tuesday, January 31). Please pray for Michael tomorrow during the surgery and for his recovery.

Ladies, Alissa's shower is this Sunday directly after church. Attending the shower is a great way to encourage Alissa, and Jeremy too, as they start their gospel partnership in marriage.
Jeremy and Alissa are registered at Bed, Bath, and Beyond.
Super Bowl Party
Andy and Emily Rummel have invited us to their house again this year to watch the Super Bowl. It's February 5 and kickoff is at 6:20. Plan on attending Family Gathering (it starts at 5:00) at church and then heading to the Rummels'. They will provide chili and drinks. Just bring a side or dessert to share.

Save the Date - Wedding Decorating
Keep Friday, March 30 clear on your calendar. As a class we have the opportunity to serve Josh and Samantha by helping them decorate for their wedding, which is the next day at the church. It will also be a great time to get to know some of your fellow Builders as you work alongside them.

Builders in 2012 - Part 4 - We Serve
As a group of believers we are called to care for those that are within our group. But we are also called to serve our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ outside of our group and also the world at large.
One simple opportunity that we have to serve fellow believers and the world at the same time is the International Lunch. About once a semester, our class has the privilege of preparing lunch and hosting the Salt and Light Christian Fellowship International group. This lunch provides an opportunity for us to show hospitality to international students and also encourage our brothers and sisters ministering to them.

Builders Lunch Details - January 22
More details about the Builders lunch this Sunday, January 22 and a reminder to signup.
When is it? Sunday, January 22 after the second worship service is done. If PDW goes too long and you start to smell food just sneak out the back when he looks at the other side of the room.
Where is it? In the Builders classroom (upstairs) and the adjoining Koinonia classroom (we'll open up the wall that divides us).
What will we eat? It's a surprise (which just means we don't know yet). But we are ordering food so we need you to signup so we have enough but also don't waste money buying too much.
How long will it last? Not very long, I'm hoping 30-45 minutes tops. I've got a pregnant wife and a 3 year old. Trust me, no one understands the importance of getting home after church quickly to get an afternoon nap more than me.
What will we do? Besides eating of course, several of the Builders leaders will be sharing changes in our leadership structure, the structure of our Sunday morning hour, and we'll also have a preview of our study topic for the coming 8 weeks.
Who can come? Builders "regulars", people that have never come to an ABF, or people who think their fit in their current ABF isn't that great (yes, I'm not afraid to steal people from other ABFs, which means I'm probably OK if you are a Builders regular and you think God might be calling you to another ABF). Kids are welcome too. Do you know someone that fits into one of those categories? Invite them! Don't just assume they already know about this or are planning on coming. "Hey, are you coming to the lunch on Sunday?"
