Ministry: David serves as pastor of Victory Baptist Church in a team ministry with his father. They began the church together in 1999. David also teaches four classes each semester at our Bible college and serves on the Advisory Board. He oversees the Master’s Degree program which involves module courses in January and July. David is the treasurer of our camp ministry and typically leads one of the retreats during the summer.
Kandie is a wife and mother which includes home schooling our four children. She uses her nursing training to teach a health course at the Bible college. She is also involved in various ministries in the church.

Background:
David received Christ as personal Savior at the age of five following family devotions at his grandparents’ house. About five months later his family left the U. S. for the mission field where he grew up serving with his parents. He was baptized by his father in a river near their first church in Peru. A year after graduating from high school, David returned to Iowa to study at Faith Baptist Bible College receiving a B.A. in Pastoral Studies in 1989.

Kandie, born and raised in Lafayette, Indiana, received Christ as her Savior at the age of five shortly after her parents were saved. She was raised at Faith Baptist Church, baptized at the age of 8, and served in many areas. She strived to be as involved as possible during my teen and college/career years. During nursing school at St. Elizabeth School of Nursing, she traveled to Mexico with Sam and Jamie Hornbrook, and there God planted missions in her heart. Her pastor encouraged her to be praying for a husband who would be a missionary or pastor. While Kandie was working in the intensive care unit at St. Elizabeth Hospital, David came to Lafayette to do an internship at Faith Baptist, and there they met and later married.

• Pray that the Peruvian churches would support the Bible colleges, camps, and mission.
• Pray that our churches would remain true to God’s Word.
• Pray for our pastors and leaders so that they will live godly, exemplary lives.
