Three years ago this morning we began a series of teaching messages through the gospel of Luke. I am certain you remember that sermon well. It’s the one where we investigated the purpose of the book as stated in 1:1-4. Luke wrote this account with careful attention to detail for the purpose of providing confidence or certainty to those who are considering following Christ or have become Christ followers. Luke’s theme is that Christianity is true and is capable of confirmation by appeal to what has happened.
