How’s your faith? One of the challenges of living by faith in the unseen and hoped for promises of God is our tendency to take over the controls of our lives when it seems obvious that God has forgotten about us or has become busy with someone else. Our thinking becomes genuinely muddled as we explain to ourselves and anyone else who will listen that ‘God helps those who help themselves.’ God does expect us to act on our faith, work out our faith and fight the good fight of our faith. Where is the line between acting by faith and taking control and living by self effort?
